SNAP Coaching Classes – Symbiosis National Aptitude Test

SNAP Coaching Classes – Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a mandatory written test, conducted on a national basis, for candidates aspiring to join MBA and masters programs offered by Symbiosis International University and its units.

The SNAP Test Score and the Academic Profile Score is used for short listing candidates for Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT). Academic Profile Score is calculated on the basis of academic performance in 10th and 12th standard and graduation. The Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT) process for all MBA programs is conducted at the Pune, NOIDA and Bengaluru campuses of SIU.

Some of the colleges under Symbiosis International University which accept SNAP scores are Symbiosis Institute of Business Management( SIBM), Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resources Development (SCMHRD), Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies(SIMS), Symbiosis School of Planning & Architecture (SSPA), Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Bengaluru   (SIBM, Bengaluru), Symbiosis Institute of Operation Management (SIOM, Nashik).

Importance of SNAP Coaching Classes

Eligibility

To be able to appear for the SNAP, a candidate should be a graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) from any recognized university. A final year student in any undergraduate degree course can also apply.

Test format

SNAP is a paper based test with objective type multiple choice questions, where each question has 4 responses. The test has 4 sections– a) General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability, b) Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, c) General Awareness: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario and d) Analytical & Logical Reasoning.

The first 3 sections have 40 marks each and the last section on Analytical & Logical Reasoning carries 60 marks. Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks. The duration of the test is 120 minutes and candidates are allowed to use only a blue or black pen for the test.

Test fees and registration

The test is conducted once a year, generally in December and the result is declared in January. The registrations are open from September to November.

The candidate has to register online at the official SNAP website and also upload a scanned photo to establish identity. The test fee is Rs. 1500, which can be paid either online ( by debit card/ net banking) or by cash at listed branches of Axis Bank and Indian Bank. Payment can also be done by obtaining a Demand Draft (DD) from any nationalized bank in favour of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune. A photo identity is also mandatory for the test. These can include passport, driving licence, Voter ID card, PAN card or the Aadhar card.

The test is conducted in 30 cities all over India. A candidate may choose any one city of his preference.
